The Flauros
This is a theory in regards to the meanings behind the naming conventions of the fives pieces of the Flauros that Travis Grady collects in Silent Hill: Origins. The theory holds that each piece is named specifically to associate with the events currently happening in the game.

All the pieces of the Flauros are given specific names (future, past, falsehood, truth, present) Below is a breakdown of all five pieces and the potential reasoning behind their names:
- The Future Piece - This piece is obtained after defeating a Straightjacket in Alchemilla Hospital. The enemy defeated, represents Helen Grady and her time in Cedar Grove Sanitarium (as she went mad and was institutionalized) foreshadowing the future events when Travis learns about his past and his mother.
- The Past Piece - This piece is obtained after defeating Momma. During the events in Cedar Grove Sanitarium, Travis' repressed memories about his abuse by his mother as a child in the past come back to him.
- The Falsehood Piece - This piece is obtained after defeating the Caliban in the Artaud Theater. The falsehood piece could be a warning to Travis to not accept everything people say or do at face value or in relation to himself of how he has been lying to himself about his past, and that it's finally time to accept the truth. This ties perfectly into the "Lisa Garland (The Liar)" theory.
- The Truth Piece - This piece is obtained after defeating the Sad Daddy in the Riverside Motel. Whilst navigating the motel, Travis unravels the truth behind his entire past as a child and the mystery surrounding his father's death.
- The Present Piece - This is the final piece found in the basement of Alchemilla Hospital. With Travis' repressed memories about the revelations regarding the truth behind his past finally no longer repressed, it's time to shift the situation back to the present and the true reason he's been called to Silent Hill; helping Alessa Gillespie.
